Finally, Something Good!

Ralph is all alone, and Samneric have joined Jack's tribe. I feel bad that he is left all alone. He went and talked to Samneric and they gave him meat and told him to get away because tomorrow Jack was going to hunt him. Jack found out that he was hiding in the thicket and they thrust a spear into it. Ralph fought back. Please, don't let there be anymore deaths. I beg of you. I want everyone to be safe even Jack and Roger. Ralph was running. He was running as fast as he could through the forest to get to the beach. He got there and saw a naval officer. He asked Ralph how many of them were there and if anyone was dead. Ralph said he didn't know and that their were two deaths. I'm glad that they have been found and rescued, because then no one can keep harming each other. Jack can no longer kill Ralph, so Ralph is safe. Simon and him were really the only one's who were nice to me. I hope they live happy and long lives and remember what happened. I don't want them to mourn, but be happy and someday let them all become friends instead of staying enemies.

What Happened?

I wake up in total darkness. I can’t remember what happened leading up to this moment. There’s a little light coming from in front of me. I wonder what’s over there. I start to walk over to the light and walk through it. As I get through it all my memories start crawling back to me. Samneric, Ralph, and I went to Jack’s tribe to get my specs back. Jack and Ralph were fighting and throwing punches at each other. I try talking to them about the right thing to do. Next thing I know there’s a jolt in the earth and I’m hit by a blowing force throwing me off the cliff. Now I’m here, so that must mean I’m dead. I’m dead! I look around and I see some houses, like a little village and I see Simon looking through the clouds. I go and join him and we look down on what the others are doing. Things aren’t going well. Jack yelled that Ralph no longer had the conch and Ralph yelled back that he was the chief. Then Jack and his hunters chased Ralph through the forest and got to the pig’s body and headed back and told Samneric to join their tribe, but they said it wasn’t the way to go and no. Why can’t they stop fighting and get along. Can’t they see that two people are already dead and they could be next?

Help Me?

I’m back. Jack is going on about how he almost killed a pig. Well, congrats you almost killed it but you didn’t. Ralph and Jack were talking about who knew we were here and Ralph said his dad. “Nobody knows were here,” I said, “Perhaps they knew where we was going to; and perhaps not. But they don’t know where we are ‘cos we never got there.” A small boy walked forward and told us about this snake-thing he saw in the woods. Everyone just laughed at him, and I know the feeling. It doesn’t feel very good. Someone suggested making a fire. We climbed the mountain and made the fire. But we had nothing to light it with, so the boys suggested matches, which we don’t have; and then the rubbing of two sticks. When that didn’t work, Jack told everyone to use my specs but I wouldn’t let them. Jack and Ralph were talking about not letting the fire burn out and perhaps a ship will see the smoke and there hasn’t been so far so we’ll never be rescued. I’d had enough. I took the conch and yelled, “That’s what I said! I said about our meetings and things and then you said shut up—.” I continued, “You said you wanted a small fire and you been and built a pile like a hayrack. If I say anything, you say shut up; but if Jack or Maurice or Simon… You got your small fire all right.” I saw a forest fire and I remembered about the little kid and the snakes… well he’s no longer with us and he could be down there right now and we wouldn’t even know. I wish someone would come soon… I don’t know if I’ll make it much longer.

Where Are We?

May 8, 2013
Piggy here. I am short and fat; well that’s what most people tell me. People at school would call me Piggy. I didn’t like it. I met Ralph, but there is no one else around, well at least not yet. I wasn’t exactly sure if I should tell Ralph what the kids used to call me. I told Ralph that they used to call me Piggy and he started to laugh. I said, “You can call me Piggy, but please don’t tell the others.” He thankfully agreed. I have asthma. My auntie says I can’t run or swim. My mum, well I’m not quite sure where she is and I live with my auntie because my dad’s dead. Ralph noticed something in the lagoon; it looked like a shell. I examine it only to find that it’s a conch. Conchs are very expensive you see. I suggested to Ralph that we use it to call the others. He had a little trouble at first, but he finally was able to do it. Slowly but surely, boys came from different directions. There was Johnny, the twins: Sam and Eric, Jack, Roger, Bill, Robert, Harold, Henry, and Simon. I guess I was talking too much because Jack called me Fatty and told me to shut up. I didn’t really like it that much. Then Ralph yelled that my name was Piggy not Fatty. He promised he wouldn’t tell the other boys yet he did anyway. We were trying to decide who the chief would be, and it was between Jack and Ralph. I didn’t vote for Jack, but I was a little hesitant on voting for Ralph, so I slowly raised my hand. Ralph decided that three boys, including himself, would go check to make sure it was an island. He chose Jack and Simon to accompany him. I said I wanted to go too. He just told me that I wasn’t good at a job like this. I said I was with him when he found the conch shell, and I then confronted him on telling the boys about Piggy even though he promised not too. I was hurt and crushed; he still left me behind. I go sit down with the rest of the boys and think of a way to get off the island. I don’t want to stay another minute. The boys call me names and I don’t like them. Please, someone rescue us soon.
